Watch the process of making the Turkish Crab at Glass Axis in Columbus, Ohio. Starting with drawings and a model, this hot glass team worked for five hours straight on this piece. Follow the process from color overlays, encalmo, cane rollups, stuffed cup, spun rondel, hot construction sculpting and solid bitwork. Maybe next time it should go in claw first eh? This work was exhibited on Governors Island in NYC thanks to the LMCC and GIPEC, cold worked at the Pittsburg Glass Center and is currently on display at the National Museum of Glass in Eskişehir, Turkey.
